“Working with the junior dancers is always so special and it is a privilege. I just love being a part of their dance journey by watching and helping them grow. It is my ultimate goal to one day become a dance teacher… and to be given this opportunity is a dream come true!”
We love developing promising senior dancers through our Assistant Teacher Programme. The programme supports students aged 13+ to develop their leadership, teaching and dance skills in a fun and supportive environment!
Our assistant teacher programme includes the opportunity to:
- Assist with teaching junior classes
- Lead class projects and choreography
- Attend seminars and receive coaching related to teaching strategies, class management, lesson plans and more
- Plan and lead school holiday programmes
The programme offers varying levels of responsibility and mentorship, tailored to the dancer’s previous experience and skill level.
Keep an eye out on social media for applications in Term 4, or speak to Miss Chantal for more information.
Here’s what our assistant teachers have to say about the programme…
“I have been assistant teaching for the last 4 years and I can honestly say that it has been the best thing. My favourite part would have to be seeing the kids have a light-bulb moment.”
“This year has been such a great opportunity and experience for me, and I have enjoyed every second of learning new things and finding great strategies towards teaching.”
